Steel Brace
In solar photovoltaic installations, steel brace serve as key support components, primarily used to enhance the stability and lateral load resistance of the mounting system. They are typically positioned as external support points for purlins, bearing the horizontal loads transferred from the purlins. The layout of the tension bars must take into account the influence of wind loads, and their cross-sectional dimensions should be calculated based on the actual forces to ensure structural safety and stability.
The design of the tension bars usually works in conjunction with diagonal tension bars, purlins, and bracing rods to form a geometrically stable system. This configuration supports the weak axis direction of the purlins, preventing deformation under external forces.
